Temple of Winter

Fashion editorial for GMARO Magazine shot in London and inspired by architecture

After seeing stunning photographs of old buildings around Temple station in London. I started searching for beautiful spots to photograph.
However, the location is not close to where I live so I decided to take a look at the area with google street view. I spent more than half an hour roaming around and noting down addresses of potential photographic spots.

I booked a session in and contacted a team and a model agency. The plan was to shoot a few editorials in different locations around the station and do everything on the go. For the first look, the makeup and hair were done in a park on a bench. Before we moved towards the Thames where we shot the first look by the river with skyscrapers and boats in the background.

Shooting outside

We found another bench nearby and changed the makeup and hair for the second look. I took a look at the note I wrote beforehand to see what direction the other locations were at. We had only been walking for about 3 minutes when I saw a house with a few steps, beautiful windows and an edgy fence. We stopped and I asked the stylist if we had some dark clothes we could mix with that location. It was not one of the spots I had noted down, but I decided to go with the flow and shoot where I found something interesting.

We continued walking through the streets where I picked spots and the team made my model perfect for every spot. Such an amazing feeling to just walk around and stop where you find inspiring spots. With all the different outfits, makeup, hairlooks and the architecture, it all came together in this wonderful editorial for GMARO Magazine.
